Food Mineral & Nutrient Analysis
QPlus provides mineral and nutrient analysis for silage, hay, and other dry feed used across a wide range of livestock species. The resulting report presents a proximate analysis of phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulphur, iron, manganese, boron, copper, molybdenum, and zinc, together with measurements of energy, fibre, digestibility (NCGD), oil, protein, sugar, starch, ash, and dry matter content.
Aflatoxin Tests in Feed
Aflatoxins are toxins produced by fungi and may naturally occur in human and animal feedstuffs. They can be found in maize (corn), cereals, peanuts, cottonseed, and tree nuts.
High aflatoxin levels can be harmful to both humans and animals. Consumption of contaminated feed may lead to toxin exposure and residues in animal products such as milk, eggs, or muscle, while also contributing to weight loss, reproductive problems, reduced growth, and, in severe cases, death. Aflatoxins are difficult to eliminate from feed and can withstand many processing treatments.
